Comedy Night

We had 150 members and 30 visitors. We ran out of chairs, standing room only! During the business meeting we unanimously agreed to hold the Installation Banquet in the Fuji Islands. Then it was time for the Comedy Night.

No one knows what possessed John Apperson that night. He came up from behind and surprised Steve Corbitt who was dressing for the show. Steve composed himself and the show went on.

First up was Ray Belz who kept being interrupted by a heckler. Ray demonstrated his methodology for handling hecklers. John again. Was it John who rigged the cards used by Steve Davis?

Steve Davis has fully recovered from the prank, well almost. He seems to think he is Elvis now.

Has anyone seen this man? He was last seen with Elvis climbing into a very small trunk.

Has anyone seen Elvis?

And is this Sandy Weis documenting all of this as it happened?

...APRIL FOOLS!

Actually we had 15 members and 3 visitors. The whole show was very entertaining. Just when you thought the evenings festivities were about to end, there was a lecture on Basic Joke Writing by Steve Corbitt. He provided 12 page lecture notes.

Thanks for an delightful evening. How can we top that?

Surprise Show

(We were surprised he showed!)

We had 8 members and 1 visitor. After the business meeting was concluded the show began.

Ray started off with two packets of jumbo cards. One deck of each color, they are shuffled and one card reversed in each deck. Not only did the reversed cards match but all of the cards match.

Ray quickly followed this up with Rocky the raccoon, whom possesses the ability to pass through solids.

Tom Westerheid settles the age old differences of apples and oranges or at least he evened the odds. : )

Even our visitor, John Davit, entertained us by displaying his expert card skills.

Not to be out done, Ray comes back to the stage buzzing and exterminating. Then Dan Todd had Sandy Weis find a previously vanished piece of paper in a zippered compartment of his wallet with her signature on it.
